OOM: The Inlet

Stitch leads the way down the path to a white sandy beach, the surfboard held carefully over his head. It's unseasonably warm here, as evidenced by the thriving palm tress and various other tropical flora. A warm, salt laden breeze ruffles his fur and results in an eager grin. The crash of waves is somewhat less than he's used to though. A lot less. Stitch suddenly eyes the small waves in disappointment.

Date: 2007-10-24 02:44 am (UTC)Stitch may not be able to see but a spot on the center of her brow starts to glow a little. It's a quasi-wish for the water to be better for surfing so it's all her. The waves start slower for the moment but soon gain in size more like the surf she had seen back in Japan. Decent sized and probably better for surfing than what the water had been.

Okay, wait." He indicates where she's standing. And then with a cry of "TUKIBOWABA!" he's running into the surf. Within seconds the water is up to his chest and he scrambles aboard before beginning to paddle out.

Date: 2007-10-26 03:09 am (UTC)The board is given an odd look but this is a teaching thing. No doubt whatever Stitch is going to do with it will be most interesting.

He will never be as graceful as either David or Nani on a board. He'll never feel truly comfortable on the waves. But it doesn't make the ride any less sweet.

Date: 2007-10-26 03:28 am (UTC)"So this is what you call surfing?"

Date: 2007-10-26 03:34 am (UTC)"Ih!" He beams. And motions excitedly to the board. Why's she on the beach? Does she think he's not dragging her along for at least one run?

Date: 2007-11-28 03:55 pm (UTC)The board's slightly harder to manuever, In this form Inari's about the same size he is, but he succcessfully gets thme turned around and once again begins paddling out.

Date: 2007-11-28 04:05 pm (UTC)"Naga. Stitch can't swim," he reassures her. Because that's totally a reassuring comment. Oh look! Nice wave! Stitch turns the board into the swell and gives a few puches before standing.
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Whee!
